ISSUE/ITEM DISCUSSION/RATIONAL/ACTIVITY/CONCLUSION ACCOUNTABILITY/RECOMMENDATION/REFERRAL
Educational Event The summer symposium was held at Alle-Kiski Medical Center in Natrona Heights. Dr. Pradeep Kumar presented on “Fallacies and Myths in Science, medicine and the GI Lab. There were 35 in attendance, 21 member and 14 non-members. Informational
Educational Opportunities The following upcoming events were presented:
1) The State Conference location has been change to Grantville, PA and will be held October 14-16, 2011. The membership was encouraged to attend, supporting a solid representation from western PA.
3) The Western PA SGNA educational fall program will be hosted by UPMC Passavant. Dr. Krysia Zancosky will present on Women’s GI Health. A date for this event has not yet been confirmed, but will be forwarded to the membership when available. Informational. Details will be made available via email and/or by mailing when available.
Membership is reminded that scholarships will be awarded for the state conference at fall educational program.
Financial Statement The mailing address for financial statements is in the process of being changed. Financials will be provided at the fall session.
